How to DELETE the DUPLICATE lines from Notepad++,Editpad+ and Excel Sheet.

CASE1. Delete Duplicate lines from Notepad++

For deleting the duplicate rows from the Notepad++ ,you need to install the TextFX plugin if it is not present by default in the notepad++.

To do so, you have to choose thePlgins ---> Plugin Manager ----> Show Plugin Manager ---> Check TextFX from the Available Tab. ---> Click on Install.

Click YES when ,a prompt box like need the restart the notepad++ to see the effects .








Yoy will find a extra tab called TextFX on the top of the notepad++.



Now you have to follow the below steps to delete the duplicate lines in the Notepad++.

     Click on TextFX ---> TextFX Tools--> Sort ascending and Sort output only UNIQUE(at cloumn) lines ,as shown in the below fig.




Then Select ALL or we can use CTRL+A to select all the lines from where you want to find out the unique values and  go to TextFX ----> TextFX Tools ----> Choose Sort lines case sensitive(at column). And you will get your Unique values.

CASE2. Delete the duplicate rows from EDIT+

 

Click on Tools ---> Sort ---->Check on Remove Duplicates and click on Sort.

It will filter the unique value from the page,as you seen in the below images.

 

 

 

 

CASE3 Delete the Duplicate rows / lines using EXCEL SHEET2003.

 By enabling filtering and applying a filter to one or more columns of data, you can return the rows of data on your worksheet that meet the conditions you specify.

1. Select the rows or columns you want to filter out or you want to find  out the unique values .

2. On the DATA Menu point ,point to FITLER Option and after that click to ADVANCED FILTER.

3. AS you seen in the below fig i have chose the  Filter the list ,in place and on check the UNIQUE records only. And Click on OK .You will find out the unique records from the group of duplicate records

4. You can select the second option also, i.e Copy to another location.and for this you have to find out a location in the same sheet only where you want to put your unique data.

And after getting the unique one ,you will delete the original duplicate data sheet  and work on the unique data in the excel sheet.

These are the above steps by which you can delete the duplicate rows and lines, but tell you there are many process are present to do the same things and above are one among them .
