Appworx is a utility which providing automated job scheduling, work load balancing and output management to application by integrating with Oracle E-Business Suite .
In short we can say Appworx is a job scheduler.
Appworx can interface with the EBS and schedule /run concurrent programs.
Mainly Appworx is a UC4 Application Manager and Application manager helps to run the application for you from the oracle EBS.
So as i said that appworx is a automated job scheduler ,instead of that it helps to do the below task as well.
1.Monitor the system.
2. Execute/Run the tasks whenever needed
3. Checking out which are the jobs running ,completed or initiated.
4. Troubleshoot the tasks and take the appropriate actions to the task.
5. View and print the task output. and many more ...
Whenever you are going to use the Appworx(UC4 Application Manager) you need to install the jar file for accessing the applications from the web. So first you need to sure that whether java jas already install in your pc or not otherwise please do it first .
Step1. You need the Username and Password to login into the Appworx.
After login page the very first page that you are watching now is the Explorer Page.
The Explorer Window is the primary tool which is used to monitor and manage the agents ,queues and tasks.
Click the backlog to check whether any job that are running and to be scheduled to run.
Step2 : Submitting the Job
Now click on the request(a triangular type symbol) to submit a job. You can sort the jobs by selection or search by typing directly on the search bar as you shown in the below fig.Once you have found the job you want, click on it to select it and then click the Request button.
Step3. This will generate the request submit form . and you just fill up the form and click on submit and close .
Step4. Now go to the history page and check whether the request has submitted successfully or not . If the Status states that FINISHED then you are 100cent write on your work but other then that message ,means you have did some mistakes while you are submitting the request. And the solution for this is too kill the request by deleting or reset the request.

Appworx is old technology. UC4 bought Appworx back in 2007 and has since migrated customers to UC4's current job scheduler. And UC4 recently changed their name to Automic. Lots of moving parts. May want to look on Wikipedia for a list of more "current" job schedulers.
