Oracle Base: /u01/app/oracle
Software Location: /u01/11gR4-soft
Create Inventory (first Oracle installation only)

Database Administrator (OSDBA) Group: dba
Database Operator (OSOPER) Group (Optional):
Step1- Download the software from metalink. Please use the below patchset-3390677 to download the software.
Refer below document- http://www.snapdba.com/2014/01/oracle-database-11gr2-11-2-0-4-installation-on-oracle-linux-6-4/#.WfHR8luCzIV
X6-2 i.e server xyznode1/xyznode2 è I have kept the software-binaries on below path
/u01/11gR4-soft
- p13390677_112040_platform_1of7.zip (Oracle Database, including Oracle RAC components)
- p13390677_112040_platform_2of7.zip (Oracle Database, including Oracle RAC components)
- p13390677_112040_platform_3of7.zip (Oracle Grid Infrastructure, includes: Oracle ASM, Oracle Clusterware, Oracle Restart)
- p13390677_112040_platform_4of7.zip (Oracle Database Client)
- p13390677_112040_platform_5of7.zip (Oracle Gateways)
- p13390677_112040_platform_6of7.zip (Oracle Examples)
- p13390677_112040_platform_7of7.zip (Deinstall)
In my environment grid is already installed so I have downloaded the software till
- p13390677_112040_platform_1of7.zip (Oracle Database, including Oracle RAC components)
- p13390677_112040_platform_2of7.zip (Oracle Database, including Oracle RAC components)
- p13390677_112040_platform_3of7.zip (Oracle Grid Infrastructure, includes: Oracle ASM, Oracle Clusterware, Oracle Restart)
Step2- Unzip the software files
Ste3-cerate directory for 11.2.0.4 ORACLE_HOME on both the node
$mkdir /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.4/dbhome_1
$ chmod -R 775 /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0.4/db_1
Step4- Take a backup of the existing db_install.rsp file from directory: /u01/11gR4-soft/database/response
Step5- Run the following cluster verify command before running the silent installation
cd <software-location>>/grid
./runcluvfy.sh stage -pre dbinst -n xyznode1,xyznode2 -r 11gR2 –verbose
Review the output, after you get satisfied with the cluvfy results proceed further. ==è No error found related to database and server level, hence proceeded with the next step.
Step6- Edit the below parameters marked in YELLO MARK on /u01/11gR4-soft/database/response/db_install.rsp file
oracle@xyznode1 response]$ pwd
/u01/11gR4-soft/database/response
[oracle@xyznode1 response]$
[oracle@xyznode1 response]$
[oracle@xyznode1 response]$ cat db_baniry_install.rsp
